Wishing Well Global has partnered with World Class Doctors - the MSO consortium to provide International Medical second Opinion. It provides 2nd opinions through the foremost medical experts from a consortium of the top hospitals (World Leading Medical centres) in the world, with cutting edge research and knowledge.

An individual consultation with a doctor from a world leading medical centre is prohibitively expensive. Wishing well has created an annual membership plan for members which allows them to obtain the 2nd opinion consultation at a fraction of the cost. It has certain features and conditions. The World Class Doctors -MSO consortium has 25 years of medical second opinion (MSO) experience. It includes more than 20,000 Physicians and Doctors from the world leading medical centres.

The MSO is extremely effective in evaluating diagnosis and a proposed treatment plan that may include surgery. Our experience has shown that

  • Nearly 15% of the MSO have resulted in a change in diagnosis.
  • Nearly 75% of the MSO have resulted in a change /modification in treatment plans.
  • Nearly 22% of MSO have resulted in cancellation of surgeries etc.

Overall, it is very effective in identification and treatment of a medical condition.

It is also cost -effective in terms of avoidance of medical treatment / surgeries.

World Class Doctors partners with world leading medical centers (WLMCs) across the globe in order ensure our members have access to the best medical information available for their specific condition. We foster relationships with medical centers who are renowned for leading the industry in research, cutting edge treatments, and the best overall clinical outcomes.

In the United States and Internationally, World Class Doctors has relationships with WLMCs who are fully accredited by The Joint Commission & The Joint Commission International as well as top the list of US News and World Report for clinical excellence. These comprehensive annual audits inspect areas such as appropriate staffing, clinical excellence, patient outcomes, and financials. In Europe, all WLMCS we work with are fully accredited and certified by the government in each country they reside.

Besides the contracted hospitals, we are also referring cases to ‘Affiliated Hospitals’ (+/-50) in various places around the world. The hospitals are selected based on their research publications and their specific specialties.

  2. The Medical Second Opinion service has a rapid turnaround once Wishing well receives the member’s complete medical record and processes pathology (if any).

  4. Members receive a Booklet, which includes:
    • A review of medical records
    • Written MSO reports from top academic medical centers in the U.S., UK, Singapore etc. which comprise The Consortium®
    • Education material
    • Suggestions for next steps, including follow-up questions for members to consider with their designated physicians
    • A complete package of the members’ medical records, which were used to render the MSO
    • Information on The Consortium® institutions rendering the MSO
    • Background and qualifications of the specialists rendering the MSOs

Background and qualifications of the specialists rendering the MSOs

It includes the following services.

  1. Personalized assistance selecting a high-quality medical institution in the U.S.
  2. Coordination of the onsite visit including travel and hotel bookings.
  3. Translation services.
  4. Securing a discount from a consortium hospital.
  5. If requested, a Personal Concierge to assist during hospital/physician visits for an additional hourly fee

Please note that the actual expenses of treatment, travel and stay will be borne by the member.

Members will receive the following services and benefits as part of World Class Doctors ’s Remote Medical Second Opinion Program:

  1. Within 12 business hours from a member’s initial request for an MSO, World Class Doctors will send local privacy legislation compliant “release of medical records” forms to the Member.
  2. World Class Doctors researchers then identify three World Leading Medical Centers that are ranked the best in the world in diagnosing and treating that particular illness (From the consortium list of hospitals indicated in point 6. Information regarding the three World Leading Medical Centers is sent to the Member within 3 business days of World Class Doctors ’s receipt of the Member’s initial request.
  3. Once the Member has chosen the World Leading Medical Center, World Class Doctors works directly with the Member or Attending Physician to collect and assemble all relevant Medical Records for transmission to the selected World Leading Medical Center.
  4. The selected World Leading Medical Center, with coordination from World Class Doctors, will complete the review and analysis of the Member’s Medical Records and the resulting recommendations regarding treatment approach (the “Medical Second Opinion”) within 10 business days from receiving a complete set of the Member’s Medical Records. The MSO will also include a complete review of the original diagnosis and proposed treatment plan by expert physicians at the selected World Leading Medical Center. All analyses and recommendations are presented to the Member and his or her Attending Physician in writing.
  5. The Medical Second Opinion is transmitted to the Member and his or her Attending Physician within 12 business hours from receipt by World Class Doctors after completion by the selected World Leading Medical Center, but in no event beyond 10 (ten) business days from the receipt of a complete set of the member's Medical Records.
  6. World Class Doctors ’s will pay for all costs relating to the Medical Second Opinion process and there are no charges to the member

THE MSO applies to all conditions whether listed above or not.

What are the exclusions and limitations?

  1. Waiting period. At the start of the membership programs, for all new members there is a waiting period of 8 weeks before being eligible for using the MSO. This will not be applicable once the member renews the membership in subsequent years.
  2. Member has not received a diagnosis – a World Class Doctors Member must have been given an official diagnosis by his or her treating physician as a prerequisite in order for the WLMC’s to confirm the diagnosis and to provide treatment recommendations on a particular medical condition,
  3. Member has not been evaluated by a treating physician within the last 12 months – Recent medical records are required by WLMCs to provide World Class Doctors Members relevant treatment recommendations.
  4. Member has developed an acute or life-threatening condition - If a World Class Doctors Member requires immediate medical attention that Member should seek the care of their treating physician on an urgent basis, and not delay while awaiting the arrival of the MSO.
  5. Physical evaluation of the Member is required - certain conditions will always require an in-person study and evaluation (for example, mental illness). Understandably, such cases would not be eligible to receive a Remote Medical Second Opinion.
  6. Limited. The member can use the MSO facility twice in a year (Membership year)

Membership must be in force at the time the service is requested.

Eligibility shall automatically terminate as follows:

  • If the membership fee is not paid when due.
  • Upon the death of the Member.
  • The MSO facility may be used twice in a year (membership year)
